Nissan Vietnam Ltd. (NVL) is a joint venture between Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (NML) Japan and Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (TCMH) Malaysia, an established investment holding company with principle activities that include the import, assembly and distribution of Nissan motor vehicles in Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
NVL began operations in December 2009 to import and distribute Nissan vehicles, parts and accessories. In 2010, NVL commenced the local assembly of the Nissan Grand Livina plus the development of a nationwide network of new exclusive Nissan dealerships in Vietnam. NVL also imports and distributes a range of Nissan vehicles in Vietnam that currently consist of the iconic 370Z, Teana, Murano, Juke, X-Trail & Navara.
In June 2013, TCMH and Nissan Motor Japan launched a new Nissan vehicle assembly plant named TCIE Vietnam in Da Nang with an investment capital of USD40 million with the Nissan Sunny being the first model to be assembled at this state-of-the-art plant. This Da Nang vehicle assembly facility strictly adheres to the Nissan Production Way (NPW) & is already acknowledged to produce vehicles that comply with Nissan’s high global standards.

Besides extending the Nissan model line-up, NVL is also committed to extend the dealership network. From two (2) initial flagship dealers in 2010, NVL currently has thirteen (13) authorized dealers nationwide to bring the “Nissan Sales and Service Way (NSSW)” closer to Vietnamese customers.
